What is Design-Build Contracting and what does it mean to our customers?  Design-Build allows the customer, architect and builder to work as a team throughout the planning and construction process. And, Design-Build allows us to reduce overall project cost and to complete construction dramatically faster — without sacrificing quality.

How does Design-Build work?  Simply put, it streamlines project delivery by providing a single contract between the customer and the Design-Build team.  Traditional contracting forces the customer to have separate contracts with the architect and the builder.  All too often, this results in the “blame game” between the architect and the builder. 

With Design-Build the customer has single source accountability for both the design and the construction of the project.  If issues arise during the design or building phases, there is never a question of responsibility…. The Solid Rock Design-Build team will deliver the solution.

This collaboration among the customer, the designer and the builder results in cost savings, innovative solutions to performance requirements, and decreased construction time.  According to the Design Build Institute of America, Design-Build contracting produces 6% in cost savings and 33% faster project completion.
